"For the past year or so, I’ve been on a journey to cut out as many toxins in the products I use on a daily basis. That includes makeup, skincare, and the products around my home. The biggest resources I have been using to determine how toxic a product is, are the Think Dirty app and the Healthy Living app. Those apps will give me a rating of the product based on how toxic the ingredients are and also shows the health impacts, which I love. If I can’t find the product in one of those apps (9 out of 10 times I can), I will look at the ingredients and just research them with a good old fashioned Google search.
One thing I don’t think people think about are the harsh chemicals that are in most nail polishes. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a good at-home manicure with my Essie and OPI polishes, BUT… if I can use something that’s non-toxic, fun, and easy to apply, then sign me up! That’s where my favorite nail wraps come in by one of my favorite brands, Ivy & Ash.
I’ve been using these nail wraps for over a year now, and I love them so much! There are so many designs to choose from, they’re affordable, they’re non-toxic, and they’re just so FUN! Here are some photos of different designs I’ve had in the past:
Ivy & Ash nail wraps are non-toxic, free of harmful ingredients such as toluene, formaldehyde, DPB, camphor, parabens, and TPHP, cruelty free, and vegan. They’re also so easy to apply, and if applied correctly, they usually last me up to two weeks. Click here to see step-by-step instructions on how to apply them! I love how fun and unique all of the designs are. It’s really fun to bring some personality to your nails, switch up the designs, and not have to spend $60 doing it!
As part of my non-toxic journey, I’m so glad I’ve been able to find fun nail art and have the peace of mind knowing that what I’m using is safe, while also supporting an amazing small business."
